He was born 27th July 1951 at McAllen, Texas and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and now resides in Fulton, Texas. He started studying Music in the 5th grade with the violin and viola and progressed through Jr and Sr High School in the Orchestra and also learned the cello. By the age of ten he taught himself piano and guitar.
Feeling the need to serve his country he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served a tour of duty from 1970 thru 1985, all the while music kept calling Ernie. During his career, he has played bass guitar, keyboards with several bands on the East Coast.
Throughout the years Ernie had felt that marriage and a musical career did not mix, but he still searched for that harmony. After a long road he has found that marriage and music can work! His two true loves are now working together in harmony with him. Ernie’s wife, Dwanna or as he calls her, ‘My beautiful Yellow Rose of Texas’ and his music make it seems so natural and fulfilling.
Now after many years of practice and performing as ‘Ernie the One Man Band’ and entertaining every chance he could he has completed his album of his music.
To his credit, he has worked hard to perform and entertain at a number of unprecedented places. From the Deep South and Heart of Texas to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and other untold corners of the U.S. Ernie is on his way to a well-deserved recognition by all.
